Randy’s Donuts: Frequently Asked Questions
HAVE QUESTIONS?
Some Commonly Asked Questions About Donuts Franchise Ownership with Randy’s Donuts…
What experience do I need to own a donuts franchise with Randy’s Donuts?
The Randy’s Donuts franchise owner shares our philosophy, is passionate about the product and has enthusiasm for sharing the best donuts in the world with their community, has prior multi-unit food service, franchise ownership, or retail experience or has an operating partner with prior experience, and has the financial resources needed to carry out their commitments and grow the business. Franchise owners should live and work in the territory in which they wish to own a franchise and should commit to opening a hub location and spoke locations in a relatively short period.
What is provided as part of the Randy’s Donuts franchise program?
The donuts franchise operator, manager, and bakers will spend four weeks in comprehensive training on the Randy’s Donuts franchise model, both in the classroom and on the job. When it’s time for your Grand Opening, our Randy’s franchise team will travel to your location for up to two weeks to make sure you are calm, confident, and excited when you open your doors. Owners will have access to the Randy’s Donuts Confidential Operations Manual for daily operations. Our team is available to assist you when you need us. We are always just a call or click away.
How much will the Randy’s Donuts franchise program cost me?
An initial investment of $2 million to $2.5 million can get you started on a multi-unit domestic hub-and-spoke franchise project.
This includes an initial franchise fee of $35,000 for your first (Hub) location and $50,000 deposit for the remaining satellite (Spoke) locations, with an additional $12,500 when each store opens.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case-by-case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We collect a royalty fee equal to 5% of gross sales. Fees such as these allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of programs, marketing tools, training programs, recipes, and systems upgrades. For a full list of fees and requirements, please refer to our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchise owners are currently required to spend 1% of gross sales on monthly local marketing activities. Although we do not currently require it, franchisees may also be required to contribute up to 4% of gross revenues to the brand marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Randy’s Donuts brand and cover the creative costs to develop branded marketing materials and campaigns.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is ten years, with one subsequent successor agreement option of ten years.
